Many times all you know about an author is a blurb on a book cover or a short bio on their Web site.  I want you to know more about me than that!

My name is Caryl Wolff. What follows here is a brief synopsis of my training and experience.  Please go to the About and FAQ's pages on www.DoggieManners.com for more information about me.

I have a BA from UCLA. I’m a dog trainer/dog behavior consultant with 25+ years of training and consulting experience, certified by the following dog trainer organizations:

  • Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers
  • International Association of Dog Behavior Consultants
  • National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors
    # 1043
  • American Kennel Club Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluator

I'm a professional member of the following dog trainer organizations:

  • Association of Pet Dog Trainers
  • Association of Animal Behavior Professionals www.associationofanimalbehaviorprofessionals.com
    AABP Professional Member #042
    AABP Professional Dog Trainer
    AABP Professional Dog Behavior Consultant
  • International Association of Canine Professionals

I know what “the good stuff” is because, after having trained thousands of dogs and their people, I have a pretty good idea what works and what doesn’t.

Lately, I’ve had a lot of calls from teacup puppy owners. These fall into two categories –

  • People who just got their puppy and want to start off right
  • People who are having problems and need some help solving them.

A lot of the problems might have been avoided by taking a few simple – but critical – steps before or right after bringing their teacup puppy or dog home.

When I was working with these dogs and their owners, I learned that some of my training methods did not work for teacup puppies and dogs, so *I* needed to learn more! This web site. and books are a synthesis of what I have learned by talking to clients, veterinarians, breeders, and groomers about teacup dogs and teacup puppies.
